The Central Canada Gay Rodeo Association is one of the most dynamic and fastest growing special interest organizations in Canada. Founded in 2006 the association already has over 90 members and has been recognized as a member organization of the International Gay Rodeo Association. (IGRA)
In 2008 the CCGRA competed in several rodeos across North America, ran two sold out Trail Rides in the GTA, held over a dozen bar outreach nights, hosted a very popular Year End Dinner and Pub Crawl and attended the IGRA 2008 Convention in New Orleans; inviting participants to the 2009 Annual IGRA Convention in Toronto November 13 - 16, 2009.
In 2009 the CCGRA is competing in several rodeos across North America, will again host local Trail Rides and pub nights, hosted a 3 day camping weekend and will welcome over 300 International cowboys and cowgals to Toronto for the IGRA 25th Anniversary Silver Convention.
The CCGRA is looking to develop relationships with sponsors over the next 3 years in order to be able to put on a brilliant 2009 Convention which should enable us to host the First CCGRA Rodeo in 2011. We invite you to be a sponsor for all the events the CCGRA hosts and attends in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
The Convention is an annual event that has in attendance the leadership of the 25+ IGRA member associations from across North America. The Rodeo will be the first of its kind in Eastern Canada and will be a 3 day event potentially attracting over 400 out of town visitors to the event, over 4000 spectators to the competition and GALA Saloon/Hoedown...and potentially thousands more through innovative media coverage..
We are pleased to have the Black Eagle, the Barn and Gladamans Bar as our first sponsors and the Marriott Bloor Yorkville as our host hotel. The hotel is located in the trendiest shopping district in Toronto and only steps from the Gay Village at 90 Bloor Street East. We also very much appreciate our numerous product and trade sponsors.
