The CCGRA are proud to be hosting the 2009 IGRA Convention and Royalty Competition.

The SILVER ANNIVERSARY IGRA Convention is just days away and we look forward to providing a professional and fun time for delegates and our city. The CCGRA only came into existance in 2006 (see history) and this will be our most ambitious and high profile event by far. We look forward to hosting the Gay Rodeo world to our vibrant, exciting city November 11-15 2009.

Our host hotel is the beautifully renovated Bloor Yorkville Marriott Hotel...just steps from the core of the city..and the heart of the Gay Village. Great facilities, easy transportation, fun social events and the most open, multi cultural city on earth will be the backdrop for a truly fun and memorable convention.

UPDATE: Our Host hotel room block rate has now expired and the Marriott is SOLD OUT. As such we have negotiated an attractive rate at a conveniently located overflow hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott. See the information under our Host Hotel tab.

Greetings from Toronto.

We look forward to holding the 24th Royalty competition and 25th Anniversary convention. Check out the Convention Schedule and Entertainment Pages which have been updated.

Royalty, Trustees, Board members and other VIP's should plan on starting Convention off right with a visit to the VIP reception in the CCGRA/Labatt Hospitality Suite Wed night.

We will have 10 Royalty Contestants vying for 3 positions. Make sure that you plan on joining us Thursday night for the Royalty Competition and Friday at FLY Nightclub for the Royalty Step Down. We have taken the liberty of creating "Royalty Bucks" to assist with the tradition of tipping. Watch for your 'free' Royalty Buck in your delegate bag...and buy additional ones at the Royalty events.

Friday's Official Pub Crawl should be great fun. We will leave from FLY and hit a series of local pubs. A calendar signing at Woodys and a sneek performance by the DC COWBOYS at the BARN will add to the fun.

Our Saturday event should be a blast. Indulge your gambling side at the Brokeback Casino then party the night away at the Wild West Hoedown. Featuring DJ Eric from Detroit and showcasing performances by the Triangle Squares, Miss Kimberley Kay and the DC COWBOYS...it should be a great night. Discounted tickets for Delegates, public can buy tickets at PRIAPE or at the door.

The CCGRA is committed to breaking even on our Convention experience. Many thanks to the local businesses that have partnered with us. Thanks also to the individuals and IGRA Associations that have stepped up to support the 25th Anniversary convention.

As for Sponsors...we STILL need them!
Sponsorships levels are listed elsewhere on this site but any level of support is most welcome! We have created an online PayPal form to make sponsoring the convention that much easier.
