Our Charity Partner
The CCGRA believes that part of its mandate is to support our community through charitable actions. Since 2007 our primary Charity Partner has been the Central Ontario Developmental Riding Program at Pride Stables (CODRP).
CODRP assists children of many ages to improve their physical and social skills through learning to ride horses. The instructional sessions occur throughout the year and have helped hundreds of kids.
The program employs about 30 horses and each animal needs to be maintained. After arrival at the stables they have to go through significant training to make sure that they have the temperament necessary to work with the kids.
For two years now the CCGRA has chosen to sponsor one of these magnificent horses. "Shasta" is a beautiful bay mare who takes her responsibilities to the children very seriously. She is a kind and gentle animal and the CCGRA are thrilled to be able to sponsor her...and to support this great program.
